The Dugout
Youth Ministry existed before there were youth ministers, believe it or not! One of our roles as members of Trinity UMC is to surround teenagers with love and care. Our Dugout Ministry puts this role into action. Each active student in Element Student Ministry get a baseball card. As our youth Director David Thompson visits adult Sunday school classes and teaches what is going on with teenagers in 2006. Then we have a “draft” where these adults agree to pray for, encourage and contact a teenager. The adults in this Sunday school classes take on being “coaches” for our students. The goal is to have 5 adults actively praying for and caring for the teenagers of our Student Ministry. This exciting new ministry gives youth ministry back to the church.
