Music at Trinity

The Music Department of Trinity United Methodist Church enables musicians of all kinds to express their faith through God’s gift of music. From baroque choral anthems to the latest contemporary Christian music, from southern gospel music to favorites from the hymnal, we find many diverse and excellent ways of praising God.  The Music Department is made up of vocal and instrumental groups for all ages of children, youth and adults. Trinity is blessed with eight professional musicians that make up the music staff. The staff is committed to serving Christ by producing music at a high level of excellence.

We welcome those interested in becoming a part of this great organization and look forward to getting to know you and sharing in the gift of music in worship.

The following is a list of musical groups within the Music Department of Trinity.

Children

Trinity is blessed with an outstanding staff of musicians who lead and direct our children’s choirs.  Associate Director of Music, Theresa McKibben organizes the children’s music program.  The children’s choir meet on Sunday evenings at 5:00 PM September through May.  All choirs have the opportunity to learn beginning music and vocal skills and at the 3rd grade level begin to use Orff instruments.  Each year the choirs participate in the Annual Christmas Pageant and in the Spring produce an outstanding musical.  The choirs also provide music for traditional worship weekly.  To help in having great participation, the worship, Christmas Pageant and Spring Musical schedule is published at registration in August.
