March is Walk/Bike/Carpool to Church Month
Mar. 1, 2009 Haley SmithThe TUMC Social Justice Committee wants to give the whole church a chance to make a difference.
Anyone who is able to use an alternate way to commute to church is encouraged to do so during Walk/Bike/Carpool to Church Month, and we hope the idea sticks throughout the rest of the year!
During the whole month, we will have a valet system in the gym for anyone who rides their bike or pushes a stroller to church. There will be people stationed in the gym at all times on Sunday mornings to make sure nothing happens to your belongings while you are in church.
Tired of not finding a parking spot on Sundays?
Wish you could get a little more exercise?
Want to make a stand against oil consumption?
Want to save some money?
Need a chance to enjoy some fresh air?
These are all things you can take care of by participating in Trinity’s Walk/Bike/Carpool to Church Month THIS MARCH. Every Sunday will be a chance for you to find an alternate way to travel to church.
T-shirts are for sale every Sunday during February in the 2nd floor Commons Area. Please buy one to show your support! They’ll also be much more comfortable to walk or bike to church in than your usual Sunday clothes.
