United Methodist Women

United Methodist Women invites YOU to join us…

The history of UMW goes back to 1869 when eight women in Boston formed the Women’s Foreign Missionary Society to meet the needs of women and children. Today, more than one million women including our Trinity UMW continue this heritage of service to others. We strive to inform, inspire, involve, and include all women of Trinity, ages 21-99, to grow through education, stewardship, service, and fellowship.

If we were to sum up our purpose, we would say “Mission is our reason for being!”. A United Methodist Woman is a dreamer and worker, dreaming of great dreams for her children and other children, her church, and her country, and working to make those dreams come true. She’s a link with the past, a powerful force in the present, and an investment in the future.

Circle involvement is the heart of our supportive fellowship in our United Methodist Women broadened through UMW sponsored events held through the year. Circles are uniquely different but all offer a chance to form new friendships, fulfill spiritual needs, and serve women and children.

To join our United Methodist Women, you do not have to be a member at Trinity or a member of the United Methodist Church. As long as you have a desire to be a part of a Christian Fellowship of Women who are in mission for women, youth, and children, you are always WELCOME TO JOIN US!!! Once you decide you want to be a Trinity UMW, the next step is to get CONNECTED and find a circle of sisters. Below is a list of our circles, a brief description, their meeting time, and a contact name & number. Please feel free to visit any and/or all circles before making a commitment. You can also contact Member Nurture and Outreach coordinator, Norma Harmon, 999-2981, or UMW President, Tiffany Slocum, 317-2673, with membership questions.
